Disney World - Animal Kingdom

We spent the third day of our trip at the Animal Kingdom.

Despite being super tired from all the fun we had in the past two days, we still woke up early and caught the first shuttle bus to the park. We managed to reach before the opening hours and found that there's an opening show by the Disney characters before letting the visitors into the attractions.

Welcome to DinoLand!

PetriFries - an interesting name for a food store.

Small animals are available for petting in the Conservation Station.

The Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends show is staged in a sheltered open-air theater. The main character sang Colors of the Wind and there were animal performance too.

Donald Duck and his family were spotted along a creek.

At the Kilimanjaro Safaris, we rode in a jeep to see some wildlife from a distance.

The Tree of Life stands in the center of Animal Kingdom.

Waiting for Finding Nemo musical to start and this was our last stop for today. Since this park closes slightly earlier than the other parks, we went back to Epcot to do some shopping.

Disney World - Hollywood Studios

Day two of our trip to Disney World was spent at the Hollywood Studios.

Giant Mickey mouse's magic hat with a shop underneath.

We couldn't get any FastPass at Epcot because it was already afternoon when we arrive (after checking into the hotel). By then, all the passes had been given out for the day. After grabbing the passes early in the morning, we can now spend more time at other attractions, before coming back here for the ride.

We made our way to Pixar Studios, where Toy Story Midway Mania is located.

The Toy Story Midway Mania is a shooting game and the riders compete with each other to see who can get the highest score.

You've got a friend in me!

The One Man's Dream houses many Walt Disney's posters and castle models.

Timeline of the significant Mickey mouse animation stories.

Model of Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty's Castle).

The Beauty and the Beast live show is performed at an open-air theater. We arrived just barely before the show started and got our seats in the last row, but the view was still not too bad.

It's really hard to resist buying some of these cute, yet practical merchandise! And they make it so convenient for you by sending them to your hotel after payment. (That's if you are staying at one of the Disney World Resort hotels.)

Our night ended with the Fantasmic! water and fireworks show. In our attempt to get better seats, we packed our dinners and ate them while waiting for the show to start.

Disney World - Epcot

Our five days of magical Disney World adventure begins at Epcot, which has a futuristic theme.

A huge golf-ball looking structure sits right after the entrance of the amusement park. Inside it, is the Spaceship Earth ride.

Plant sculpture of Minnie Mouse and the other Disney characters are seen all over the park.

Passing by the hot-air balloons hanging from the ceiling, while on our way to the Soarin' ride.

Sea animals and signboards leading the way to The Seas with Nemo & Friends.

Queuing up to take picture with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale.

The Living with the Land boat ride inside the greenhouse features the future of growing crops.

In fairy-tale land, pumpkins grow ears into a Mickey mouse shape.

Decoration along the queue of Test Track ride kept us entertained. While it was bright and sunny for the whole afternoon, it decided to rain in the evening. Since part of the ride is outside, this attraction would only resume when the rain stops.

Our day at Epcot ends with the light and fireworks show at the lake.

Tulip Festival

The Tulip Festival is an annual event held in Washington Park (Albany, New York), this year being the 60th year. It marks the start of the spring season. Beside admiring the beautiful tulip blooms, there's also the traditional crowning of the Tulip Queen. Her role is to serve as Albany's Ambassador and will be involved in volunteer projects.

I never knew that there exist so many different variety of tulips.

On the first evening of the event, a wooden windmill was burnt down to reveal a tulip structure during the opening ceremony.
